We are welcoming in August and it’s time to discuss our external confidence.

Oftentimes we are the harshest critics of our own bodies, the root of that can be found in our upbringing or within our societal constructs.

Too often we fall into the trap that our body is unworthy because it does not fit a mold, we buy an outfit in anticipation that we “fit into it one day” and we create these limiting ideas in our mind of what we are truly capable of based on this perspective of our bodies.

Wouldn’t it be nice to pluck these roots and create a new one? With our affirmations this month we want to create that new root and allow it to grow beautifully inside us.

Allow yourself to fall in love with your body, not just an outer appreciation but an overall appreciation for the way your body functions and provides for you.

This month we can use our journal prompt to source our limiting beliefs, where are our subconscious thoughts and what do we need to let go of in order to be fully engaged with our own body? Let’s really be honest, even if the answer hurts once we realize what is holding us back we can begin to release and become in love with the body we were given.

Our song choice this month was chosen with the intention for creating awareness with our touch sensation. We want this song to take you on a journey of discovering and appreciating the interaction you have with touch and the world around you. Not a single moment or sensation has to be dull if you assign positive meaning to something we often neglect.
